Is Mobility the same as Stretching?

Mobility and stretching are related, but they are not the same thing. Mobility refers to the range of motion and flexibility in a joint or group of joints while stretching refers to elongating the muscles to increase flexibility. Stretching is often used to improve mobility, but it is just one aspect.

Mobility is a broader term that includes flexibility, the ability to control movement, and joint stability. These exercises may include activities that involve movement, such as dynamic stretches or functional movements, or exercises that involve resistance, such as lifting weights or using resistance bands. Improving mobility can help to reduce the risk of injury and improve overall physical function.
