When should I be worried about a Headache?
Most headaches are not severe and can be treated with therapy such as chiropractic care. However, suppose you experience any of the following symptoms. In these cases, you should seek medical attention right away:
A sudden, severe headache (sometimes called a "thunderclap headache")
A headache that is accompanied by a fever, stiff neck, rash, confusion, or seizures
A headache that is accompanied by weakness, numbness, or trouble speaking
A headache that gets worse over time or with exertion
A headache that is caused by a head injury
A headache that is accompanied by changes in vision, such as double vision or temporary loss of vision
A headache that is accompanied by nausea and vomiting
See a chiropractor if you have frequent or recurring headaches, as they could be a symptom of an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
Also, it's important to note if you have a headache that is different from any you have had before or if you have any concerns about your headaches, you should talk to your healthcare provider.
